His movies helped promote martial arts and if I remember the likes of Rampage Jackson, BJ Penn and Randy Couture have been in movies. People always put him up against Chuck Norris and modern MMA fighter saying he'll lose. Did Chuck himself not admit he would lose? And how do we know Bruce cannot beat an MMA fighter? He's dead so it is stupid to just guess based on the fighters of today who think being bigger and taking it to the ground defines fighting (not everyone of course).
This man set the bar for martial artists everywhere, had real fights and not a competition with referees and rules. His physiques was such that bodybuilders see him as an example for physical perfection and because he is small did not mean he wasn't as strong. He could easily kick an MMA fighter off his feet given his strength, speed and power.
Not knowing the man well enough to judge means that if you don't like him, for whatever reason, then do not disrespect him. The man deserves to rest in peace for a great life cut short.
What makes us any better? He never claimed to be more than what he really was and I'm only qouting what my older relatives have told me from the time he was alive.
