Ninjutsu (忍術) is a collection of techniques originally practiced for espionage purposes. It includes methods of gathering information, non-detection, avoidance, and misdirection techniques. Ninjutsu can also involve training in disguise, escape, concealment, archery, medicine, and explosives.

Jujutsu, is a Japanese martial art that is principally based on grappling and joint lock techniques, though it also includes basic strikes and sweeps as well as varying degrees of ground fighting.

Briefly, ninjutsu is the "art of stealth," the ability to cover your tracks and sneak up on an opponent, and jujitsu is a throwing and grappling art that forms the basis for other martial arts, like judo.
