Question:
Why do I feel as if I can't fight at all?

I have been dancing for cardio workouts and it mostly involves arm movements. Nowadays my arms seem to look slimmer but they feel lighter as well. Also, I feel like I can't throw a punch or perform an elbow. When I try and throw a punch, it feels weak and that I didn't add any force into it. Plus, sometimes I feel that I can't fight at all and I feel less aggressive as well, even I have gotten into a fight once. I don't know what seems to be the problem is. What can I do to fix this? Should I take up a boxing class?

You must do some important exercises, like push-up or lifting some dumbbell for hardening your muscles and not bulking it.

Your feelings that you can’t fight at all, is because you didn’t feel confident on what you are and what you have, you must involve on some Martial Arts activities or any combat sports that can enhance your skills and knowledge on defending yourself.

Through this way, your purpose will be gained through step by step development.

Good luck

Punching power is very little about the arm movements. It's about putting your body weight into your punch. How exactly you do this depends on the style you practice, but in general it involves the shoulder, hips and footworks. Go learn boxing or any martial arts you are interested in if you want to learn how to throw a punch well.

Punching seems simple, but to throw one correctly it takes a lot of practice. I'd say in general 6 months can be considered quite quick.

Ok don't listen to ember please he must not know much about fighting...you're arms getting thinner isn't a problem. Take a boxing class since most boxers are very skinny but one blow from even a lightweight and it feels like you got it with a rock

Ok because your arm got thinner, you have less mass. Less mass=less force. Go to the gym and start lifting weights to gain muscle. You'll get your power back. Now for the ''I feel like I can't fight at all" thing. You might have lost motivation.
